What’s New? A Podcast of: Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! Black Friday, A Walnut Room, Painting, Gambling, Movies, and More!

Thanksgiving
led to the lack of a Thursday podcast last week, but The Dude on the Right & Stu
Gotz do their best to make up for it during this episode of

their "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast
.  The thing is, with an extended
weekend, they talk about a lot of the same things, like movies ("Bolt," "Tropic
Thunder," "Iron Man," "Delta Farce," and "Australia"), music (Britney Spears has
a new CD, "Circus," coming out), TV ("The Big Band Theory" and "How I Met Your
Mother"), and The Chicago Bears losing, but the holidays brought some new stuff
like a visit to the Museum of Science and Industry for the Gotz’s, a new holiday
tradition that should probably stop in its tracks (it’s a visit to The Walnut
Room at Macy’s, which used to be Marshall Fields), The Dude having dinner and
lunch with a variety of friends, and both Stu and The Dude disgusted at people
who helped lead to the death of a dude at Wal Mart on Black Friday.

They both cover a lot of ground, but the podcast is under 20 minutes, so what
the hell, go ahead and

give the podcast a listen
.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! Black Friday, A Walnut Room, Painting, Gambling, Movies, and More!

The Dude on the Right

As
we are slowly getting recording our podcast on my MacBook laptop a little more
consistent, it was kind of weird because as much as this was a long weekend for
the both of us with Turkey-Day involved, I still wonder why

our "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast
is usually about the same things.

Stu,
well, with the holiday, started getting the Little Gotz’s involved in science
with a trip to the "Museum of Science and Industry" in Chicago, and then
introduced them to bad food at "The Walnut Room" while I advise people just show
up there to see the Christmas Tree and get dinner somewhere else.  He also
saw the movie "Bolt" in 3-D and thought the story sucked but was good for the
kids, and Mama Gotz wouldn’t let him finish watching "Delta Farce" thanks to his
Netflix queue.  He also tries to analyze an episode of "The Big Bang
Theory," and we both loved the "Naked Man" episode of "How I Met Your Mother."

Me, I tell Stu about me and my BFF having dinner with The Dude on the Left and
Trash; lunch with The Mystery Dude and Mama Mystery Dude; how I didn’t see any
movies over the Thanksgiving weekend (but am looking forward to a review of
"Australia" from The W.G.N.); how little ones are becoming gamblers; and am
thankful that the Chicago Bears loss to the Minnesota Vikings might save me some
hours from watching football for the rest of the season, although that time
might be now taken by listening to Britney Spears’ new CD, "Circus."

So much
more, so much less, but as always,
thanks for listening!

What’s New? A Podcast of: Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! Fireworks, Movies, Manners, and a Cheap Dude.

The Dude on the Right is
almost ready to toss his new MacBook Pro out of the window while

he and Stu Gotz were recording this "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast
,
especially as Stu brags about how The Dude could probably take one quick class
at his local Apple store to solve his problems, but The Dude is a stubborn
pollack, so the two of them just hunker down to talk about The Magnificent Mile
Lights Festival in Chicago over the weekend, and Stu seeing "Quantum of Solace"
instead of "Twilight" at the theaters.  There is some Netflix catching up
to do for The Dude, Stu might have a way to save the environment thanks to his
thinking while he was taking a poop, and Stu has some hostility for the YMCA
Scuba program, which he might want to see a psychiatrist for.

They both discuss this Thanksgiving weekend’s movie schedule, and Stu revisits
the brilliance that is "Fast Times at Ridgemont High."  So much to talk
about in so little time, yet they figure out a way to pull it off, and even
mention the fact that Stu Gotz is also a
member of Twitter Nation
.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! Fireworks, Movies, Manners, and a Cheap Dude

Stu
Gotz is here for

our "Weekend Wrap-Up! Podcast"
and he started grumpy, but now is just
perturbed at me because I’m too cheap to take a quick Apple class to get our
podcast to sound better with the two USB headsets I’m trying to use.  Me,
I’m just stubborn, and yes, I am cheap.

My cheapness aside, myself, I skipped
the movies with my BFF, instead catching the end of the Magnificent Mile
Festival of Lights Parade, where maybe our vantage point was crap for float
viewing, but if you want the perfect view for the fireworks, I know the spot and
I’m not telling.  Stu didn’t catch a parade, didn’t take the little Gotz’s
to see "Bolt," but his seeing

"Quantum of Solace"
did lend us to some James Bond talk.  On the
funnier front, Stu revisited "Fast Times at Ridgemont High," while I have
Netflix viewing to catch up with, including "Tropic Thunder!"

There
is a little talk about The Chicago Bears and their leading the division yet
still sucking, Stu ponders his Twitter
Tweets
, manners, and a way to help save the environment because you only
wipe your butt with one hand.

Stu, being the Scuba man that he is, lastly
reminisces on the ending of the YMCA Scuba Training, with a little but of
animosity.

Neither of us know if we will see "Transporter 3," "Australia," or
"Four Christmases" at the movies this week for Thanksgiving, but did enjoy
Justin Timberlake in a black unitard on Saturday Night Live a few weeks ago.

Happy Thanksgiving and thanks for listening!

What’s New? A Podcast of: Here Comes Britney Spears’ Circus, Here Comes “Twilight,” and Here Are “Jillian Michaels’ Clips of the Week!”

The Dude on the Right is

a little melancholy for this podcast,
what with Thanksgiving coming up and
his not traveling to the Old Country this year (and it’s not even because he’s a
Radio Shack Manager anymore), but at least he’ll be spending time with his BFF,
which is nice.  It’s also nice for him that he’ll be thinking about seeing
"Twilight" and "Bolt," rather than actually seeing the movies "Twilight" and
"Bolt," but nothing beats his anticipation like getting the initial word that
Britney Spears might be showing up on her "Circus" tour in the Chicago area, in
March of 2009.

Thankfully he still watches "The Biggest Loser" giving him a new batch of
inspiration thanks to "Jillian Michaels’ Clips of the Week!"  The Dude is
now inspired to fight another day!

Here Comes Britney Spears’ Circus, Here Comes “Twilight,” and Here Are “Jillian Michaels’ Clips of the Week!”

The Dude on the Right

Nothing gets me more exciting than news about Britney Spears, but, okay, news
about Britney Spears doesn’t normally get me excited, but

I’m podcasting solo
, and I got a notice from

Pollstar that as of today she only has one concert date in 2009,and it’s in the
Chicago area
, probably for her "Circus" tour, and in the words of "The
Pointer Sisters," I’m so excited!  Yay!

Two movies open this weekend, and
it’s all about the teen girls and children, so I also podcast a bit about
"Twilight" and "Bolt," and as Thanksgiving is upon us, I am a little melancholy
because this will be the first Thanksgiving that I don’t make the trek to the
"Old Country" since my days in retail as a Radio Shack Manager or working at a
camera store.

Thankfully, though, as a touch of sadness enters this podcast,
there’s nothing like my "Jillian Michaels’ Clips of the Week" segment to snap me
back to reality, and inspire me to face another day!

And as always, thanks for listening!

>What’s New? A Movie Review of: Quantum of Solace

The
Dude on the Right liked the fact that "Casino Royale" became a little more like
"The Bourne Identity" franchise, but now he thinks the James Bond folks took

"Quantum of Solace" to an action level even the "Bourne" franchise doesn’t try
to achieve. In any case he gives his movie review,
likes Daniel Craig as
James Bond, thinks Olga Kurylenko is hot as Camille, but in his mind, the hottie
factor is kind of like the debate about Ginger or Mary Ann from Gilligan’s
Island, because in "Quantum…", well, Gemma Arterton is the "normal" girl, and
she is Strawberry Fields, and she actually gets to sleep with James Bond.
Sure, it leads to her striking oil, but that’s another story for the movie.

The Dude will let this James Bond movie go, just hoping the next installment
starts to develop James into the smooth, deboner, and if he has to kill a few
people along the way, well, he’s up for that, kind of secret agent.  In the
opposite of the words of Elvis, for The Dude on the Right, James Bond needs a
little less action and a little more conversation.

What’s New? A Podcast of: Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! “Quantum of Solace,” The Chicago Bears Suck, A Crabman, and More!

The
Dude on the Right and Stu Gotz got together for another

wrap-up about their weekend, and they discuss it for their podcast

Stu kept things with the family, watching "27 Dresses," wondering about TV shows
like "Entourage" and "My Own Worst Enemy," and wasn’t allowed to upload
copyrighted music to YouTube, whereas The Dude on the Right saw, with his BFF,
"Quantum of Solace," the NBC Travel Expo at Navy Pier in Chicago (complete with
Crabman  and Catalina from "My Name is Earl" and Mike Adamle eating
popcorn), and cleaned his garage.  Okay, The Dude’s BFF didn’t help The
Dude clean his garage, but that’s okay, because at least neither Stu nor The
Dude, nor The Dude’s BFF, watched enough of the Chicago Bears getting trampled
by the Green Bay Packers to really care about football over the weekend.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up! “Quantum of Solace,” The Chicago Bears Suck, A Crabman, and More!

The Dude on the Right

I
think I had a more exciting weekend than Stu Gotz, but to really find out, I
suppose you’ll have to listen to

this week’s "Weekend Wrap-Up!" podcast.

For Stu, well, most of his weekend
was about family.  He caught a movie with Mama Gotz,

"27 Dresses,"
a movie I watched a few weeks ago with my BFF, and Stu kind of
liked it.  He also is keeping track of "Entourage" on HBO, and really isn’t
that sad that "My Own Worst Enemy" got cancelled from his TV schedule because he
thought the show blew its load way too early in the season.  He did find it
surprising that YouTube booted his short video of one of the Little Gotz’s when
he got a message that his video was booted for having copyrighted material, even
though it did contain copyrighted music. so, I guess, ahh, the Wild West of the
universe might have really found a new sheriff, but I was just surprised that
Stu actually knew what an algorithm was!

Me, I prognosticated, via
Twitter, that the
Chicago Bears would beat the Green Bay Packers by a score of 96 to 3, whereas
sadly the score was almost exactly the opposite.  I tell Stu how much the
Bears sucked, even though I didn’t get to see most of the game because the BFF
and I went to see, "Quantum of Solace," which I still haven’t decided if that
was a good or bad thing, and we also went to the NBC Travel Expo at Navy Pier in
Chicago and were both kind of disappointed at the representations of some
Caribbean locals we were thinking of vacationing to.  I did get to see
Crabman and Catalina from "My Name is Earl," though only from afar, my BFF and I
got to admire Mike Adamle (and I so wish I had a video camera) eating popcorn,
and nothing wraps up an exciting weekend like cleaning your garage!

Sure,
there are some other things we talk about, but for those, well, you’ll just have
to listen to the podcast.

And as always, thanks for listening!

What’s New? A Podcast of: Werewolves, Bears, Turkeys, and Jillian Michaels.

The Dude on the Right flies solo for this podcast, and he keeps it kind of
short, with some quick warnings about werewolves, some cheering on the Chicago
Bears, not comprehending that Turkey Day and Christmas are right around the
corner, and still being a fan of "Survivor: Gabon."  The Dude, however, is
not a fan of "The Biggest Loser" still being two hours long, actually feels
hatred for a contestant on the show named Vicky, and was so happy Amy flipped
and sent Vicky’s husband, Brady, packing.  The Dude is happy, though, that
he remembered to play his "Jillian Michaels’ Clips of the Week" segment, whereas
inspiration is normally the name of the game, but he loves her "One of them has
immunity" line.
