A Review by
The Dude on the Right
This review will be kinda short because I just don't want to waste any more of my life on the video "Celebrity." The video's got a butt-load of stars, Leonardo DiCaprio, Melanie Griffith, Winona Ryder, Joe Mantegna, and Hank Azaria, playing a variety of characters I'm too lazy to backtrack for, to name a few, with our stars, Kenneth Branagh playing Lee and Judy Davis playing Robin. The video basically tells the story of Lee and Robin who are recently divorced. Robin hooks up with new love Mantegna and Lee keeps interviewing famous people and trying to sleep with them. Lee keeps trying to pitch his screenplay, then his novel, while Robin can't figure out why she keeps liking getting into the showbiz world when teaching used to be so fulfilling. Lee meets most of our stars on the basis of interviewing them for his article, and it's supposed to be a comical inside look at the life of being a celebrity. You get the model-type with Charlize Theron, the trouble-maker actor in DiCaprio, the starlet who won't sleep with you but will give you a blow job in Griffith, and the up-and-coming still sort of innocent Ryder. The problem is that basically, this movie is boring.

Lee is the most annoying person in the world and his character gets boring fast after he pitches his screenplay for the second time. The relationship between Judy and Mantegna's character is nice, but I just got tired of her questioning how a great guy could love her. And all the while I kept looking at the clock wondering when this movie was going to end.

So I'll just wrap this up and not waste any more of my time by giving "Celebrity" a ½ star out of 5. There was a chuckle or two, but not enough to make the time go by, and I can'' believe I wasted a couple of hours of my life watching this video without fast forwarding through most of it.

That's it for this one! I'm The Dude on the Right!! L8R!!!
