The Picturehouse web site says a lot more about the movie
than the actual movie site that just has the trailer, but it
seems that pretty much there was a dude named Dennis (Simon
Pegg) who was ready to be married but then got cold feet. His
then fiancée was also pregnant. Now, to prove he’s
not such a schlub, well, Dennis decides to enter a marathon,
and then hilarity is supposed to ensue.
Simon Pegg has proved his funny chops in the likes of
“Hot Fuzz” and “Shaun of the Dead, while David Schwimmer,
whose
directing the movie, hopefully learned a thing about the
funny from all of his years in “Friends.”
Even though the trailer doesn’t show much, yet, it goes
look kinda funny. Hopefully there will be another trailer
before it opens, but a lot of the people involved have
quirkiness and funny in their background, so hopefully that
adds up to a fun movie.
