Well here’s another comic I know nothing about. From what I have
read, Frank Castle’s (Thomas Jane) family gets murdered by the mob and
Castle turns into a vigilante. He wears an outfit with a white skull
and goes about taking care of the bad guys. John Travolta is supposed
to play some bad guy called Howard Saint, so I’m sure comic book
people will know how his role fits in.
Yes, it’s a little early to tell on this movie, especially since it
isn’t scheduled for release until August of 2004. The trailer is out,
though, and as long as they stick to the basics of comic book
story-telling, which most studios have done a great job of so far,
this could be a decent movie. Travolta can be a decent bad guy, as
long as he doesn’t go over the top (which he does quite often
recently), and Jane doesn’t even ring a bell, but I’ll update this
preview as we get closer to the release.
