It's finally here, the remake of "Land of the Lost," the TV show millions of people my age grew up with, and the TV show millions of teenagers now have no idea what it is about. Anyway, Will Ferrell is Dr. Rick Marshal, and he seems to be in full "Will Ferrell" comedy mode for this one which sometimes works, sometimes doesn't, and I'm just hoping it works most of the time for this movie. As far as Dr. Marshal, he and some of his crew get time traveled into an alternate reality, where dinasours are still around, and there are this weird creatures call the sleestaks.
The trailer shows a ton of slapstick comedy, as we can expect from Will Ferrell, and I suppose they could make any kind of movie they want to because I don't really remember the TV series, but I'm sure purists will be all over this film if it isn't exactly like the show. I just hope Will Ferrell is funny, because as summer kicks into gear, we might just all be needing a laugh.
