I do so like movies when my Samuel L. Jackson
plays an asshole, but as I'm writing this preview "Lakeview
Terrace" is rated PG-13 which means Samuel L. won't be as
much of an asshole as I'd like him to be. The story revolves
around a couple who move into their new house, not realizing
that Samuel L. doesn't like the fact that, well, the dude is
white and his woman is black. But Samuel L. is a cop, the
people in love fight back, and it turns into a clusterfuck
of a living arrangement.
The thing that I think sucks about this movie is that it
is rated PG-13 which means the movie people are hoping to
bring in the teen crowd, but come on, does the teen crowd
give a damn, yet, about an interracial couple living next to
a pissed-off Samuel L. Jackson? I'll guess we'll have to
wait and see, but even though Samuel L. is a bit upset about
his neighbors getting it on in their pool, we won't actually
get to see the neighbors getting it on in their pool. Here's
to movies after the summer blockbuster season!
