Most people know Rowan Atkinson from his work as “Bean,”
and this looks to be one of those movies where Rowan does his best at
being goofy. Pretty much all of the other agents in England have been
incapacitated, the Crown Jewels have been stolen, and there’s a plot
involving national security. It’s up to Johnny English (Atkinson) to
save the day, only English is sort of inept, Jacques Clouseau
sort of way, or I guess, maybe a Bean sort of way.
The movie looks cute for the entire family, and being rated “PG” is
a good sign. Expect goofy accidents, English looking like a fool, but
somehow he will get the job done and save the day.
