So your dad has this really cool ability - when he reads
you a story from a book, well, the characters will come to life.
That's all swell and good until dad, in this case played by
Brendan Fraser, reads from the wrong book and bad people
show up. Now the bad people kidnap dad and it's up to Meggie,
the daughter played by Eliza Hope Bennett, to save dad and
save our world from the bad things the bad people want to
do.
The movie looks like a fun fantasy film, and even though
the trailer seems kind of intense the movie is currently
rated PG. The weird thing seems to be about when the movie
will be released because my original investigation showed a
release date in March of 2008, but now IMDB says the movie
is coming out in January of 2009. Kinda weird.
