I don’t want to proclaim them back, but from the trailer it
almost looks like The Farrelly Brothers are back doing what
they do best – adult, R-rated comedies about wacky
relationships.
For this one we get Eddie (Ben Stiller). Pretty much
commitment-phobic, Eddie has let his fair share of great
girls get away. Then he meets Lila (Milan Akerman). She
seems perfect, they seem to be in love, and Eddie marries
her after a short courtship, and things seem well, until,
well, the honeymoon. Suddenly the perfectness of Lila turns
into Eddie’s worst nightmare, and so, of course, he finds
his better perfect love in Miranda (Michelle Monaghan).
Can Eddie get Miranda to love him before Miranda finds
out Eddie is married? Can Eddie keep Lila away long enough
to find out he is trying to destroy his marriage on their
honeymoon? Will hilarity ensue? It sure looks like all will
happen.
I really hope Peter and Bobby Farrelly are back into the
form we fell in love with “Dumb & Dumber” and “There’s
Something About Mary,” and the trailer shows they might be
in the right direction.
