You’ve got to love teaser trailers sometimes,
especially when they don’t tell you anything about the
movie. I guess, in this case, it really doesn’t need to, at
least if you are familiar with the original movie released
in 1988 or the Broadway version of “Hairspray.” Me, I’m not
familiar with either, so pretty much the trailer didn’t do a
damn bit of good, but from what I’ve read on the internet
the movie is about a couple of teenagers who audition to be
on some show. One gets to be on the show, but then there is
another teen and her mom trying to sabotage things.
The bizarre thing, at least for me knowing nothing about
this movie, is John Travolta, yea, that John Travolta, plays
Edna, and she's a little bit chubby, like her daughter, I
think it is.
