Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Missing the Steve & Garry Reunion, A Song for Stu, and Some “Accepted” Talk.

By:

The Dude on the Right

Stu & I hooked up again.  No, not in that way, we met this morning to chat
about our weekend.  As is usual for me I do some movie talking, this time
about my seeing "Accepted,"
and we both do a little discussing about "Snakes on a Plane" in preparation for
our next episode of "Stu
& The Dude Reviewin’ the Movies for You
" (to be posted later this week).
I’ve also decided that I am blaming my brother for my missing getting any photos
of the "Steve
Dahl & Garry Meier
" reunion.  Stu was looking for a special song for
Mama Gotz, and it turns out I have the album collection, "40 Funky Favorites,"
complete with pops and crackles.  Who knew a song called "Beep Beep" could
drive Stu nuts?

I also do some talking about the

William Shatner Roast on Comedy Central
, and how I would like to be a guest
reviewer with Richard Roeper on the
Ebert & Roeper show.
Stu thinks he would be the better choice, but my selling point is that I would
keep my bag on.  Dreams aside, Stu also wonders about a neighborhood block
party gone, well, not as planned.  We’re all over the place for this
podcast.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Fun at the Zoo, Fun with SoaP, Not So Much Fun at the Movies, and the “H-Word.”

By:

The Dude on the Right

I know I look forward to it every week, and I’m guessing you do to, so here is
another exciting episode of "Stu and The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up."  Stu got
to do something that is always fun with the family, and that was going to
the zoo.  He
was a little worried about the driving ability of the tram operator, but says
everything turned out fine, and yes, they still have a pachyderm area.  I
tell Stu about my movie-going, namely "Talladega
Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby,
" where maybe I was just in a crappy mood
when I saw it, and Stu tells me his solution for the little girl who, during "Barnyard,"
decided that kicking my chair and messing with my hair was more exciting.
Also, neither of us, before this weekend, knew that there was an "H-Word."
We knew about the "F-Word," the "C-Word," the "S-Word," and a lot of other bad
words, but here was a new revelation for the both of us, and if it is that bad,
the church better start to re-think it’s terminology.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: “Miami Vice” and “John Tucker,” It’s Hot Out Here, and “What Time Does the Carnival Start?”

By:

The Dude on the Right

Stu and I do some talking about our weekend once again, and as usual, some of it
has to do about movie talk, mostly my seeing "Miami
Vice
" and "John
Tucker Must Die
," and Stu finally got his chance to see "Clerks
II
" and got out of me what I found the funniest scene to be in the "Clerks
II" flick.  It was also a hot weekend here in Chicago and we both survived
a Cubs’ game, though Stu has some issues with Mama Gotz and her event planning,
this time being a family trip to a carnival.  Me, I let Stu know that my
new
favoritist song
, it’s about Connecticut, has made it to #1 on Sirius
Satellite Radio’s, Channel 21 – Alt Nation, top 21 countdown, and I’m 99% sure
you will never hear this song on your FM dial (Thank you Howard Stern for making
me subscribe), while Stu is on the lookout for a copy of the song "Beep Beep"
by The Playmates, so if you can help him find a copy, he would appreciate it.
I have the song, but he’s looking for a cleaner version without me having to
nudge the turntable arm forward to get past the scratch in the vinyl, and he
doesn’t need the entire CD, just the one song.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Lots of Movie Talk, The Dude’s Fly Infestation, and Stu Gets Some Culture.

By:

The Dude on the Right

You know you want it, and here you got it – another enticing podcast of "Stu &
The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up."  Stu gets things going right out of the chute,
asking me about my movie viewing of "My
Super Ex-Girlfriend,
" "Monster
House,
" "The
Lady in the Water,
" ,
and "Clerks
II
."  Sadly I missed "The Lady in the Water" thanks to a fly
infestation and having dinner with Whammy, but Stu was a little worried that
"Clerks II" only making upwards of $9+ million seemed kind of low, and I’m sure
Kevin Smith
would have loved for it to have made "Pirates‘"
money, but I reassured Stu that most of the movie folks associated with film
were probably pretty happy with the opening.  Stu was able to get some
culture over the weekend, seeing "The
Unmentionables
" at Chicago’s famed
Steppenwolf Theatre,
and also got to see two girls getting it on at the park.

I do apologize for the slight technical glitch in the podcast, it’s too
difficult to explain, and my niece is back to being my favorite niece.  And
lastly, I’m still not getting married anytime soon, because I like all of my
stuff.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: A Song Adds a Star to a Movie Review, Stu Has a Car Question, and a Rumored Frank Sinatra Story.

By:

The Dude on the Right

Here it is, another fun-filled podcast of Stu and Me wrapping up our weekend.
Stu got to see The Indigo Girls, but sadly wasn’t sitting in on a prime location
on the lawn to catch some girl-on-girl action, and he had a family wedding that
led to a rumored Frank Sinatra story and a car question.  Me, I explained
to Stu how a certain song led to my giving "You,
Me and Dupree
" an extra star for my rating, and I don’t do a great job at
explaining how I think the Wayans’ brothers almost had a great concept for "Little
Man.
"  Other topics aside, and I’ll get into this discussion more at a
later time, but I started talking about it with Stu, and I might have to get my
sister the name of
Ozzie
Guillen’s
sensitivity trainer.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Pirate Talk, Is Stu too Protective as a Dad, and The Dude has the Most Productive Sunday Ever.

By:

The Dude on the Right

It’s this week’s episode of "Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up."  Stu Gotz
starts with a discussion he and Mama Gotz had, discussing a money-saving
opportunity for the family, and we quickly move on to some talk of "Pirates
of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest.
"  Me, I highlight the most
productive Sunday I have ever had, and Stu talks about maybe being an
over-protective parent and his youngest is a pissing and pooping machine.
We finally look at our weekend coming up and Stu looks to be having a more
exciting one than I’m going to have because he will be seeing The Indigo Girls,
has a wedding to attend, and should be doing some scuba diving with some
friends.  Me, I’ll be seeing "Little
Man
" and "You,
Me, and Dupree.
"  My guess is Stu will have better stories to tell next
week, but in any case…

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Arguing Neighbors, Superman Returns, Stu Performs a Marriage Ceremony, and The Dude’s Fish Might Die.

By:

The Dude on the Right

Sure it’s Wednesday, but it was a long weekend, with The 4th of July and all, so
Stu and I got together to discuss how we spent our extended holiday weekend.
Me, I didn’t get much sleep last night due to a 2-hour argument the couple
living next to me decided to have, Stu didn’t see any movies but I saw "Superman
Returns
" and "The Devil Wears Prada," Stu is no longer a virgin when it
comes to performing wedding ceremonies, and hopefully I haven’t killed my fish.
So much to discuss, so little time, but we got all of that into this podcast,
and Stu also has some time to discuss him and his family finding themselves,
inadvertently, at the same hotel as the Little People of America convention.
Stu’s kids didn’t seem to really understand.

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: The Dude Loses his Virginity with the Horses, and Stu is on a Celebrity Tear.

By:

The Dude on the Right

We’ve got another episode of "Stu and The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up" for you with
this podcast.  The Dude on the Right was excited because he had his first
trip to bet on the ponies, and felt he did alright because he came back home
with more money than he planned to lose.  He also learned a valuable
gambling lesson about boxing trifecta’s and it’s not bad to bet the jockey and
not the horse.  Stu, though, is getting sick of some celebrities, namely
one with the name of a famous French city, and another who seems to be having
baby and marital issues.  Stu just doesn’t let up, and he doesn’t
necessarily blame the "Oops I Did it Again" girl, nope, he blames her people.
There’s also a strange discussion about a baby with three arms and one of Stu’s
favorite shows, "Rescue Me."

Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: Some Travels, Some Movies, and Taking the “East” out of Easter.

By:

The Dude on the Right

We’re a day late and a few dollars short, but thanks to a holiday weekend this
episode of "Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up" comes today instead of yesterday.
Stu and I cram a whole lot of things into this podcast, things like stolen
bleachers in my hometown, should you really be watching "Brokeback Mountain"
with kids under four in the room, Easter traditions, and even more movie talk.
I also have a problem that I discuss with Stu about folks trying to get Harry
Potter books pulled from school libraries.  My wonder is what is the
difference between casting a spell and praying?  First I’m taking the
"East" out of Easter, and now I’m comparing casting spells to praying.
That, and I really like movies geared for the teen audience.  What the hell
is wrong with me?  Oh well, happy
listening!

Stu & The Dude’s Weekend Wrap-Up: The Dude’s NCAA Woes, “Inside Man,” The Dude Hates Computers, and Stu Wants Hate Mail.

By:

The Dude on the Right

Thank God for this "Stu & The Dude Weekend Wrap-Up" episode because otherwise
there might never be any new content.  My weekend was kinda like the start
of this podcast, a train wreck.  I was elated (UCLA made it to the NCAA
Final Four), I was pissed (Washington should have beaten U-Conn), I was on a
roll (Villanova beat Boston College), and then the underdog made me elated again
(George Mason Beat U-Conn).  Then the depression started (Florida was
beating Villanova, I couldn’t get our latest "Stu & The Dude Reviewin’ the
Movies for You" episode to work, and I couldn’t re-render the episode in a
timely manner).  Then ultra-depression set in (Florida beat Villanova
pretty much eliminating me from my NCAA pools, my computer woes cut into my "The
Sopranos’" watching, and I didn’t get much sleep).  Lucky for Stu his
biggest issue over the weekend is that he needs to get back in charge of the
family Netflix queue, although he was bummed to find he hasn’t gotten any hate
mail regarding his comments about Michelle Kwan.  Oh well.
