When I was sitting in the theater and the trailer for
"The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" finished, the
dudettes near me simply said "Where's Rachel Wiesz?" From
what I read there was a scheduling conflict in getting
Rachel to reprise her role as Rick's wife, Evelyn, either
that or maybe she thought the script sucked, but in any case
we now get Maria Bello in the role of Evelyn. It seems Luke,
Rick's son who learned all about peril when the mummy
returned, and Rick have found a new mummy to unearth, and
guess what, it creates havoc. Jet Li is in this movie so
there might be some fun martial-arts stuff, but we'll see if
"The Mummy" franchise has burned itself out because even
though this movie comes out August 1st, as of now I haven't
seen too much promotion for it, yet.
