Tomorrow Today
Al Jarreau
A CD Review |

Al Jarreau isn’t really my cup of tea, but for mood
music, you know, that “getting your woman in the mood”
music, Al ranks with the best of them, and you could
probably fair pretty well by popping this in the CD player,
lighting some candles, pouring some wine, and making your
moves on the couch. I know, jazz has many nuances, but I
generally don’t have the time or the appreciation to study
them, but “Tomorrow Today” comes off as standard smooth-jazz
fair. I’m sure there are things in the music that will have
jazz aficionados pointing out a lyric, a specific song, or a
musical selection, but for me, this just plain reminds me of
Al Jarreau, which I suppose is a good thing.
Jazz folks might really like this, it’s okay for me, so
let’s end up averaging things and I’ll give it 65% on the
Entertainment Ave! listenability scale.
That’s it for this quick review! I’m The Dude on the
