A Review by

The one thing “Fairweather Johnson” seemed to be missing was that one song with the totally catchy tune, ala “Hold My Hand” from “Cracked Rear View.” Other than that it was standard Hootie fair, with bouncy guitar work and meaningful lyrics that you could play as background music most anywhere without offending anyone. They put themselves on the map with the previous CD, but for fans of their style of music, “Fairweather Johnson” isn’t bad and should probably be added to your CD collection.

I suppose because it doesn’t have that catchy tune, you might not listen to this CD as much, but it is one of those CD’s that will grow on you if you listen to it a couple of times. For me it’s an 80% on the Entertainment Ave! listenability scale. Hootie & the Blowfish have their style of music and “Fairweather Johnson” continues with that style.

That’s it for this quick review! I’m The Dude on the Right!! L8R!!!
