Stu & The Dude's Weekend Wrap-Up: The Dude Loses his Virginity with the Horses, and Stu is on a Celebrity Tear.
By:
The Dude on the Right
We've got another episode of "Stu and The Dude's Weekend Wrap-Up" for you with
this podcast. The Dude on the Right was excited because he had his first
trip to bet on the ponies, and felt he did alright because he came back home
with more money than he planned to lose. He also learned a valuable
gambling lesson about boxing trifecta's and it's not bad to bet the jockey and
not the horse. Stu, though, is getting sick of some celebrities, namely
one with the name of a famous French city, and another who seems to be having
baby and marital issues. Stu just doesn't let up, and he doesn't
necessarily blame the "Oops I Did it Again" girl, nope, he blames her people.
There's also a strange discussion about a baby with three arms and one of Stu's
favorite shows, "Rescue Me."
Thanks for listening.

The Dude on the Right's "American Idol" Finale Wrap-Up.
By:
The Dude on the Right
Hey everybody! "American Idol" finale'd last night, and as everyone in the
world with a computer probably already had a clue before the show, well, Taylor
Hicks won. For this podcast I give my take on the Taylor vs. Katharine
McPhee thing, why Katharine should have worn the dress she wore on Wednesday
night during her Tuesday night finale (it might have gotten her a few more
votes), and I hope college kids everywhere were playing the "Soul Patrol" game
while watching on Tuesday, although I'd be surprised if they made it to any
classes on Wednesday if they did. I also wonder if "So You Think You Can
Dance?" can fill some of my TV void, but as I'm typing this, and watching the
show, it's still too soon to tell. No, wait, umm, I just caught a glimpse of this Juliya Tamarkina wiggling her butt, and a fine butt it is, as well as every other things and stuff on her body, dancing with her partner whom she needs to dump for an older, plumpier partner who wears a paper bag over his head. You know what? This show does have potential except the judges seem to suck. Hopefully the judges will get better and there will be more Juliya's.
Oh well, thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude's Weekend Wrap-up: The Da Vinci Code and Sports.
By:
The Dude on the Right
We're back with an exciting new edition of "Stu & The Dude's Weekend Wrap-Up."
There's even a special guest involved, namely Mama Gotz, although she was trying
to share Stu's mike at times which didn't work too well. Anyway, we both
talk a bit about "The
Da Vinci Code" and some sport's fighting. Stu was also perplexed as to
why Axl Rose was getting picked on by a clothing dude.
Thanks for listening.

Exciting Sports, Women's Pro Beach Volleyball, Karaoke on Your TV, and TV Finales.
By:
The Dude on the Right
Some of the most exciting sports' television happened on this Saturday
afternoon. There was a great brawl during the
Cubs/White
Sox game, sadly Barbaro (that's a horse),
hurt its leg during the Preakness Stakes, and God bless the producers and
directors at Fox for their coverage, or should I say almost uncoverage, of the
AVP Women's Pro Beach Volleyball tournament. I forgot how much I love that
sport. I also found out that my cable On Demand service has karaoke.
I have no idea when I would ever use that, but is nice to know it is there.
Thank you Mr. T.
And finally, some of the most anticipated season finales are coming up next week, at least for me, namely "24," "American Idol," and "Lost." Finally, I'll be done with TV, except for, well, that new summer show called "So You Think You Can Dance" looks right up my alley. Damn you, Fox.
Thanks for listening.

The Dude on the Right's "American Idol" Wrap-Up for May 16th: Elliot Should be Going Home.
By:
The Dude on the Right
Well, here it is, my next to last "American Idol" Wrap-Up for this spring season
because, well, next week "American Idol" will end this season and Taylor will
win. Okay, I'm predicting, not stating a fact, but for this wrap-up I
explain why Elliot just doesn't have it, how Taylor does, and how Katharine is
starting to piss me off. It's bad enough that it is hard for her to stay
in the feeling of a song and not just start smiling ear to ear when the close-up
camera comes near her (Case in point, she's singing "I Ain't Got Nothing But the
Blues" but she just keeps smiling, instead of having a "sneering" attitude the
song deserved), and my mom mentioned she doesn't like her hair, which I agree,
but for a different reason. For me, her hair is too long and covers up her
boobs. In the weirdest of ways, Taylor has everything in his favor to win
"American Idol," but what does his winning really say about being a pop idol?
It's all too confusing.
Lastly, if you want to be a part of a podcast, and have "talk" capabilities set up for your IM programs, e-mail me at podcast@entertainmentavenue.com and we'll see if we can set something up.

Stu & The Dude's Weekend Wrap-Up: Technical Issues and Movie Talk.
By:
The Dude on the Right
In our headphones, as we were recording this podcast, both Stu Gotz and I
thought it sounded like crap. I bitched and moaned and wasted precious
minutes bitching and moaning about how bad this podcast sounded, even to the
point that I forgot to mention two very important things I learned in the
morning. Now, listening to the replay, the podcast sounds fine, I suppose,
except for my not being able to let it go that it sounded lousy in my
headphones. I so think I might have OCD.
In any case, Stu and I talk about our weekend, my catching of a couple of movies, namely "Just My Luck" and "Keeping Up With the Steins," and Stu figures he'll probably go see "Over the Hedge" next weekend, rather than be damned to hell by seeing "The Da Vinci Code." Me, I'll be damned to hell because I plan on seeing "The Da Vinci Code" on Saturday, and then my hell will be sitting in a theater full of kids on Sunday as I try to catch "Over the Hedge." Oh, it's so complicated.
We also talk about the influence about a President's speech and Oprah, and why is the President having a speech when we already know everything about it, and it comes up during sweep's week in May. I questioned whether Oprah or the President would win out, but it seems the folks at ABC, or Oprah, decided to move her special up a week, probably much to the chagrin of the millions of women who will have to throw out tons of food they bought for the "Legend's" parties they were going to throw. Can you get the hint I'm a little perturbed at the President having a speech that, at the time of my writing this, I can already read a transcript of what he is going to say, before I can hear him say it, and his messing up my TV season finale viewing? I wonder if his TIVO is all screwed up like mine seems to be right now. I better not miss the end of "How I Met Your Mother."
Okay, I started getting off on a tangent. This podcast is about Stu and my weekend wrap-up, and some ramblings, and my obsessing how the podcast sounded horrible in our headphones. Anyway, Stu and I had interesting weekends. Okay, maybe not interesting, but we both got through our respectives.
Thanks for listening.

The Dude on the Right's "American Idol" Analysis for May 9th.
By:
The Dude on the Right
I've been calling this type of podcast all kinds of things, but, and of course,
I realized what I should call this with only a couple weeks left for the show
this spring, but it's really "The Dude on the Right's 'American Idol' Analysis." It's not a re-cap, it's not a wrap-up, it's what I think about the singing, and that's an analysis. Oh well, I'll have to remember this next year.
Anyway, this one is for the show on May 9th, where we already know the shocker of all shockers, that Chris got the lowest number of votes and is going home.
As much as I still love Katharine, she is still driving me insane with her mugging for the boom camera every time it swings towards her. A sad song, a sentimental song, a song with attitude - it doesn't matter, when that boom camera comes her way, it's time to sing with the biggest smile on her face you could ever see.
This podcast also has my favorite Paula Abdul sayings of the week, but she doesn't have my favorite saying of the week. Nope, this week's favorite saying goes to, no, wait, you'll just have to listen.
Thanks for listening.

Drowning, Natalie Portman, Inventing, and a Nephew Dilemma.
By:
The Dude on the Right
This podcast entry is all about dilemmas. So I'm working on getting this
podcast posted before "American Idol" starts, I get the audio portion uploaded,
and then my cell phone starts singing "Margaritaville" to me. Since most
of my friends have their own song on my cell phone, I know it's
Trash.
As much as my podcast dilemmas are waiting for the world to hear, I now had
another one: Do I take the call and maybe have to go back and catch up
with "American Idol" and get this posted, or Do I let the call go to voice-mail
and talk to her later? An hour and some change later, here I am, catching
up with tonight's "American Idol" episode, of which I see my Mom has already
e-mailed me her comments, and working now to get this podcast posted while
watching my singers try to belt out Elvis tunes.
In the end, her call led to a larger intro paragraph rather than "I have some dilemmas with this podcast. Please listen and give me your opinion!", and I haven't talked to Trash in quite a while, so it was good to hear from her. I just have to remind her of my TV viewing schedule, and I still can't believe I gave up, live, "American Idol" for her. Oh well.
So, this podcast has topics like my waiting for a phone call from Natalie Portman, drowning in water, doing some inventing for a "phoner" podcast, and most importantly, and this is where I need your help, what the hell am I supposed to do about my nephew? It's a problem many Uncles might have, but I need your advice.
Thanks for listening, and I really welcome your advice on this matter. It's a matter most of us uncles have with our nephews, and our nieces, so please, let me know what to do.

The Dude on the Right's "American Idol" Re-Cap, and You Thought You Had Weight to Lose?
By:
The Dude on the Right
I'm torn with the last batch of contestants for "American Idol." I still
think Katherine is a great singer and has a "couple" of decent "Idol" assets,
but she smiles too much when she is singing, when it isn't appropriate (like
during the Phil Collins song "Against All Odds." It's not a happy song, no
smiling should happen, but she never seems to be able to stay with the attitude
of the song, especially when the boom camera heads in for a close-up). Chris, though, for me, it seems that he has lost his
realization of who the audience is that is watching this show. And enough
giving up other parts of my podcast, just listen to the damn thing, please.
But "American Idol" aside, if you think you've got weight to lose, you've got to listen to the story of a man in Mexico I talk about.
Thanks for listening.

Stu & The Dude's Weekend Wrap-Up: Seeing Movies and The Dude is in a Lot of Hot Water.
By:
The Dude on the Right
The "Stu & The Dude Weekend Wrap-Up" is back! Yes, sir, re, Bob! It
is back! I know I'm excited, and hopefully you are too! Stu and I
talk about "Stick
It," "RV,"
and why I missed "United 93." I also dig myself a deeper hole with my
sister, so let me just say it now, "Sis, I apologize. Maybe I'll try to
meet up with you when you are visiting the old country, and I'll bring the
mobile podcast studio so you can re-butt. He he, I wrote 'butt.'"
Anyway, apologies aside, Stu wonders what was wrong with
Mandy Moore's
look in "American Dreamz," and while I was seeing movies he got to be
entertained by seeing "Elmo's
Coloring Book." He's a lucky man.
I better just stop commenting now before I did an even deeper hole with my sister.
Thanks for listening.
