Well, it looks like Earth is in peril from someone and only some
superheroes can save the day. The problem is that Earth is short on
trained superheroes. Good for Earth is that there are some kids who
have some wacky super-powers, but bad for Earth is that these kids
don’t know how to be superheroes, or work well with others. Enter
Jack (Tim Allen). His job is to get these kids to realize the
benefits of their powers, work together, and figure out a way to
save the rest of us lowlifes here on Earth.
The movie sort of reminds me of
“The Incredibles,” only it isn’t
animated, because the kids have some powers that are obviously
useful, but they just don’t know how to get along or use them to
their abilities.
The movie looks cute, really made for the kids, but I really
enjoyed “The Incredibles,” and it also reminds also me a tad like “Spy
Kids,” and I liked that movie, too.
It’s opening on a weekend that doesn’t have many films I am dying
to see, so this has the potential for just some silly fun,
especially with the one kid who can blow-up like an air balloon.
Probably great for kids, with hopefully some adult humor, which Tim
Allen has shown he can pull off with the “Santa Clause” series.
