The synopsis on IMDB is long and complicated, but for me the
interesting thing is seeing the role Kevin Kline is in,
because I’ve got to admit I really don’t remember him in a
fully serious role (although I’m sure he’s got some) like he
is in “Trade.”
In a nutshell “Trade” tries to tell the story that lots
and lots of boys and girls are kidnapped and thrown into sex
trafficking rings between Mexico and the United States.
Kevin Kline plays a cop who had his own kid lost to this sex
traffic, and works with the brother of a girl kidnapped in
Mexico City to both find the girl, and expose the ring.
The movie looks like a decent suspense film, and I also
have to admit that I didn’t recognize that Kevin Kline was
playing the cop. We’ll see how wide of release this gets if
I get to see it.
