Okay, from what I can gather, “The Fountain” gives us Hugh Jackman as Tom. It’s the 16th century and he is given some kind of ring to maybe keep him alive, so that he can find the magic potion/tree sap so that he and the love of his life can life happily ever after, forever. He starts as a conquistador at first, back in the old days, in love with Rachel Weisz (and who wouldn’t be). Then we move to life today when he’s back in love with Rachel, only this time she has cancer and he still can’t find that damn sap, and later he’s and astronaut, in deep space (hey, I thought the magic sap was supposed to be on Earth), but in any case, he starts to learn what life is really about, in some manner.

Right now the movie is rated “R” for only “Some violence.” Since when is that an R movie. For R, I would like at least some Rachel Weisz nudity.

The premise sort of at first reminded me of “Highlander,” but then didn’t. We’ll see if I bump this up on my movie-watching list as the date gets closer.

That’s it for this preview! I’m The Dude on the Right!!! L8R!!!
